How to Coach the Partner Role-Play (18 Minutes)

Step 1: Assign Badges

Partner A holds Speaker Badge; Partner B holds Listener Badge. Explain that badges mean one voice at a time.

Step 2: Act & Echo

Speaker reads their line. Listener must say: "I heard you say..." before saying their own response.

Step 3: Chime & Swap

Ring a chime at 3 minutes. Students hand badges to their partner and switch from Speaker to Listener immediately.
