My Body's Volcano Warning Signs
Just like Louis in the story, our bodies give us signals right before an interruption erupts! Check all the signals you feel when you have something exciting to say:
Tummy starts rumbling or bouncing
Words tickle my tongue and teeth
I start wiggling or leaning forward
Heart races and breathing speeds up
Draw or describe your #1 biggest signal that an eruption is coming:

My Partner's Name:
Question 1: How did it feel when your partner listened to your whole idea without erupting?
Question 2: While listening, did you feel your volcano bubbling? What trick helped you hold your lava?
Official Volcano Tamer Pledge
I promise to respect my teachers and classmates by keeping my lava cool. When an exciting thought bubbles up, I will take a slow nose breath, lock the words behind my teeth, and wait for my turn so everyone can be heard!
