I hope your school year is off to a wonderful start! I am writing to warmly invite [Student First Name] to join our upcoming Social Sparks Peer Connections Group this semester. This positive, small-group experience is designed to help students celebrate their strengths, practice real-world social tools, and connect with classmates in an encouraging setting.
Schedule
1x weekly (30 min) during the scheduled Intervention Block.
No core academic classes missed.
Location
School Counselor's Office (Room [104]).
Calm, supportive, and private setting.
Group Size
4–5 peers paired for collaborative practice.
Interactive games & discussions.
What Students Practice & Build:
Self-Management Skills Identifying emotions, coping strategies, impulsive reaction breaks, mindful focus, and personal goal-setting.
Relationship Building Active listening, reciprocal conversations, cooperative teamwork, navigating peer disagreements, and empathy.
Because small groups rely on parent partnership, we require parent or guardian permission prior to our first session on [Start Date, e.g., Tuesday, September 22].
