Action, not just words
2. The Impact
The science of the ripple
3. Our Action
Classroom Kindness Poster
Every single person in this room has the power to lift someone up today.
Let’s Begin
Part 01 • Definition
What Is Kindness, Really?
Kindness is not just staying quiet or following rules. It is an active choice you make every day.
Noticing Others
Paying attention to peers around you—especially classmates sitting alone, looking stressed, or having a rough morning.
Action: Make eye contact and share a welcoming smile.
Speaking Up
Giving honest compliments, acknowledging someone's effort, or speaking out when someone is being teased or left out.
Action: Say “Great point in class” or invite them to sit.
Daily Support
Small, considerate gestures that cost zero dollars and zero extra time, but immediately change the room’s energy.
Action: Hold the door, lend a pencil, celebrate a win.
Key Takeaway: Kindness does not require being best friends—it simply requires treating every peer like they matter.
Part 02 • The Science & Culture
The Ripple Effect of Kindness
One genuine gesture causes a chain reaction that shifts you, your classmates, and our whole school.
Impact 01
On Your Brain
Giving kindness triggers serotonin and dopamine. It lowers your stress, boosts your focus, and makes you feel connected.
Being kind makes YOU happier.
Impact 02
On Your Peer
It destroys isolation. When someone receives an unexpected kind word, their defense drops and they feel recognized and safe.
A kind word can save someone’s day.
Impact 03
On Our School
Bullying thrives when people stay silent. When kindness becomes the loud majority, negativity loses its power completely.
Kindness creates a protective culture.
Fact: When a peer intervenes with kindness, bullying stops within 10 seconds 57% of the time.
You Have Power
Part 03 • Today’s Mission
Classroom Kindness Wall Activity
Each classroom has a Kindness Poster. Every single student will place a positive note on it today.
1
Grab Your Note
Get a sticky note from your teacher's kindness station and grab a pen or marker.
Choose any color note you like!
2
Write Something Real
Write a positive note to a peer in this room. They do NOT have to be your close friend! Notice someone’s effort, humor, or positive presence.
Keep it genuine, respectful, and uplifting.
3
Post On The Wall
Walk up and stick your note onto our classroom Kindness Poster so our entire room is filled with support.
Watch our wall grow note by note!
Need inspiration? Try one of these:
“Thanks for bringing good energy to our class.”
“You worked super hard on that project today!”
“I really appreciate how you always include people.”
