Move to the RIGHT if it's Respectful.
Move to the LEFT if it's Disrespectful.
LEFT
DISRESPECTFUL
RIGHT
RESPECTFUL
Scenario 1: Adults
"The teacher is explaining a game. Sam is drawing in their notebook but says they are still listening."
Consider
Can we listen without looking? What signal does this send to the teacher?
Reflection
Is there a middle ground? Maybe asking for permission to doodle first?
Scenario 2: Peers
"Marcus sees a classmate sitting alone at lunch and asks, 'Hey, do you want to join our table?'"
Inclusion
How does this signal that the person has value to the group?
Next Step
What if the person says 'No'? How can we respect that choice?
Scenario 3: Time
"Sarah forgot her part of the group project. She says, 'I'll just bring it on Monday instead of today.'"
Impact
How does this affect the 'time' and success of the other group members?
Alternative
What could Sarah do to be more respectful of their shared deadline?
Scenario 4: Boundaries
"Leo grabs his friend's new pen to try it out while they are away, but he puts it back exactly where he found it."
Privacy
Does 'no harm' make it okay to touch someone's things without asking?
Trust
How would the friend feel if they walked in? Does this build trust or break it?
Radar Reflection
"What is one thing you can do TODAY to send a strong 'respect signal' to someone?"

Slide 01: Title
"Good morning, Radar Team! Today we’re powering up our 'Respect Radar.' A radar is built to detect signals—and in this classroom, we are going to learn how to detect and send the most important signal of all: Respect."
Slide 02: Definition
"Respect means treating people, places, and things with care and value. It’s also about signals. Respect means checking someone’s boundaries before you act."
[Ask: "What's a signal someone gives when they DON'T want to be hugged?"]
Slide 03: Adults
"Pillar One: Respecting Adults. This is about acknowledging they are here to help you grow. We show this by focusing when they speak, using a helpful tone, and following directions the first time."
Slide 04: Peers
"Pillar Two: Peers. That’s each other! Your classmates are your teammates. Respectful teammates include others, avoid gossip, and cheer each other on."
Slide 05: Time
"Pillar Three: Time. When you’re late or waste time during group work, you’re saying: 'My time is more important than yours.' Punctuality says: 'I value you.'"
Slide 06: Boundaries
"Pillar Four: Boundaries. This covers physical space and property. Rule of thumb: Ask before you act. Ask before touching a friend, or borrowing a pencil."
Slide 07: Signal Check!
"Okay, Team, stand up! It’s time for a Signal Check. This side [Point Left] is DISRESPECTFUL. This side [Point Right] is RESPECTFUL. I’ll read a scenario, and you move to the side that matches your radar. Ready?"
[Remind: Walk, don't run. Stay silent until the discussion signal.]
