Who Am I Today Slides
Who Am I Today?
A self-awareness activity to help you draw, write, and reflect on the amazing person you are!
Teacher Notes: Welcome students and introduce today’s activity. Explain that over the next few minutes we’ll explore how we feel, what we’re good at, and set a goal for the day.
Our Mission
Today, we will:
- Identify and express how we feel right now
- Recognize one of our personal strengths
- Set one simple, positive goal for the day
Teacher Notes: Read the objective aloud and connect it to students’ daily experiences (e.g., “When we know our feelings, we can talk about them!”).
What is Self-Awareness?
Feeling
Noticing how you feel inside right now.
Knowing
Understanding what you are good at.
Growing
Deciding what you want to learn next.
Teacher Notes: Explain self-awareness in kid-friendly terms: noticing what you feel and why. Use a quick example, e.g., “When you feel nervous before a test, you notice butterflies in your tummy.”
Your Reflection Sheet
1
Feelings: Draw how you feel today.
2
Strengths: Write or draw something you’re good at.
3
Goal: Write one simple, positive goal for today.
Teacher Notes: Display the worksheet on the board or projector. Walk through each section slowly, modeling one quick example of a feeling, a strength, and a goal.
Check out this Example!

Happy & Excited
2. Strength
KIND
I help my friends when they are sad.
3. Goal
"I will share my crayons today."
Teacher Notes: Show the example sheet. Point out the drawing, the strength word, and the goal. Emphasize that everyone’s sheet will look different and that’s okay!
Sharing With Friends
Be a Great Listener
- Watch with your eyes
- Listen with your ears
- Quiet hands and feet
Kind Words Only
"I like how you drew..."
"That shows you are..."
"I think your goal is awesome!"
Teacher Notes: Set clear expectations for sharing. Remind students to listen quietly, applaud courage, and use kind words when commenting.
Time to Reflect
Quietly think to yourself:
“What did I learn about myself today?”
Turn in your sheet when finished!
Teacher Notes: Prompt students to think before speaking. Collect sheets as exit tickets and praise all efforts.
