Pre-K Developmental Note: Fantasy vs. Untruth
Four-year-olds often weave imaginative tales without intent to deceive. Differentiate between playful imagination ("I flew with dragons!") and untruth to avoid blame ("I didn't spill the paint"). Celebrate imagination while anchoring honesty as reporting what really happened when someone asks for the truth.
