Define "Ethical Dilemma" and "Responsible Decision-Making" in an engaging way, using examples relevant to 11th graders (e.g., social media privacy vs. safety).

Exploring Dilemmas: What Would You Do?

Divide students into small groups (3-4 students).
Distribute the Discussion Guide or display scenarios using Slides 3-5 .
Groups discuss 1-2 scenarios, identifying the dilemma, potential choices, and immediate consequences.
Teacher Role: Circulate and prompt deeper thinking: "What values are at play here? Who benefits/loses from each choice?"

Distribute the Decision Matrix Explorer Worksheet .
Guide students through an example scenario (different from group discussions) using the worksheet, demonstrating how to weigh options against values.
Students apply the matrix to one of their earlier scenarios or a new brief one.
