Warm-Up: What Does Respect Look Like?
Teacher Talk
"Good morning/afternoon, everyone! Today, we're going to talk about something super important for our classroom: respect . We hear that word a lot, but what does it really mean to show respect to someone?"
"Take a moment to think about it. You can share with a partner or just keep your thoughts to yourselves for now." (Pause for a moment, let students think or briefly discuss).
"Now, let's think about respect specifically here at school, and especially towards adults like your teachers and other staff members. Why do you think it's important to show respect to your teachers? What happens when we do? What happens when we don't?"
