Draw or write...
The Youngest / Sparklers

MISSION 2
My Belief Compass
Check the boxes that sound most like your "Explorer Guidebook" beliefs about the world!
🧭 The world is mostly...
A giant playground! A mystery to solve. A place where I must be strong.
⭐ My best explorer power is...
Making friends smile. Helping out when needed. Noticing tiny details.

Snapshots of the Past (Early Recollections)
Think back to when you were really, really little. What is the very first memory snapshot you can see in your mind? Let’s capture it!
DRAW YOUR FIRST MEMORY SNAPSHOT HERE (Use colors, shapes, and people!)
My snapshot memory...
🔍 Detective Notes on My Snapshot:
1. Who is with you in this memory?
2. What feeling goes with this picture?
3. Is the world safe or a wild jungle here?

Catching Sneaky Pixies
Sometimes a sneaky "Mind Pixie" whispers grumpy thoughts like "I can't do it!" or "Everyone is mean!". Draw your sneaky pixie in the cage below. When you hear the thought, say: "Aha! I caught you!"
DRAW SNEAKY PIXIE HERE
How to catch your Pixies:
- Feel a tummy squeeze or an angry eyebrow.
- Stop and listen to what your brain is saying.

MISSION 5
Spitting in the Soup Trick
Sometimes we do grumpy behaviors (like slamming a door) to get what we want (attention or space). But once we admit the trick out loud, it gets less tasty to do! Draw your favorite "trick" behavior inside the soup bowl.
DRAW SNEAKY BEHAVIOR IN SOUP
Spit in the soup: Next time you whine, try saying:
"I'm whining right now so my counselor will pay attention to me!"
Is the whining soup still fun to eat?
⬜ No, it's gross now! ⬜ Yes, still yummy.
MISSION 6
The Emotion Push-Button
You hold the controller to your feelings! You can shift your mind from a gloomy screen to a happy screen just by changing what you look at. Let's practice.

Clinical Cheat Sheet
Adlerian theory highlights social interest, goal-directed behavior, and subjective perception. When working with elementary school children, translate abstract terms (Lifestyle, Early Recollections, Safeguarding) into concrete, playful symbols (The Explorer Guidebook, Snapshot Cameras, Mind Pixies).
1 Lifestyle Assessment: "The Explorer Map"
Diagnosis
Exploring birth order, family constellation, and basic mistakes/mistaken beliefs.
Say This To The Child:
"Imagine your family is a crew on a sailing ship. Every person has a special job. Who is the captain steerin' the ship? Who is the map reader? Let's map your crew on Page 1 of your workbook!"
🎯 Objective: Understand sibling rivalry, birth order roles, and subjective worldview.
🔑 Key Questions: "Who in your family crew is most different from you? How are you different?"
2 Early Recollections: "The Memory Camera"
Discovery
Using earliest memories to discover the child's active life convictions and lifestyle patterns.
Say This To The Child:
"Close your eyes and search your brain for your first-ever memory camera photo. Draw it! Then let's figure out what it tells us about how you see the world."
🎯 Objective: Assess core beliefs (e.g., Is the world friendly? Do I have to do everything alone?).
🔑 Key Questions: "What feeling is strongest in that picture? What's the most vivid detail?"
3 Encouragement: "The Spark Finder"
Relationship
Shifting from praising output to encouraging effort, builds resilience and social interest.
Say This To The Child:
"Praise says 'Great job winning!', but Encouragement says 'I saw how hard you tried even when it felt tough!' You have a secret spark inside you—what is it today?"
🎯 Objective: Foster courage, build confidence, counteract feelings of inferiority.
🔑 Key Questions: "How did you find the strength to do that? Who else did your action help?"

4 Acting "As If": "The Magic Superhero Cape"
Action
Empowering kids to practice behaviors they want to adopt, breaking negative patterns.
Say This To The Child:
"If you had a magic superhero cape that instantly made you brave enough to talk to that new classmate, what's the first word you would say? Let's practice wearing that cape right now!"
