Students Act (DASA)
1. Community & Respect
Green Light (Do)
- Treat everyone with civil kindness and high regard.
- Follow directions from teachers, staff, & bus drivers.
- Speak up to keep school free of bullying & harassment.
Red Light (Don't)
- Bully, tease, exclude, or use abusive language/gestures.
- Disrespect or ignore reasonable requests (insubordination).
- Disrupt class or challenge a teacher's classroom authority.
2. Digital Citizenship
Green Light (Do)
- Use school tech, internet, and accounts for learning.
- Post content that is respectful, safe, and helpful.
- Keep personal devices away unless explicitly permitted.
Red Light (Don't)
- Cyberbully, send threats, or share private pictures.
- Bypass security filters, spam accounts, or share accounts.
- Use ChatGPT/AI to cheat or copy academic assignments.
3. Spaces & Transit
Green Light (Do)
- Walk safely in hallways and keep noise reasonable.
- Keep bus rides calm: sit down and respect drivers.
- Use common areas (gym, cafe) responsibly.
Red Light (Don't)
- Run in halls, leave campus, or cut class/detention.
- Deface buses, yell, push, or distract the driver.
- Throw food, trespass in unauthorized zones, or loiter.
4. Trust & Safety
Green Light (Do)
- Always tell the truth to school personnel.
- Protect other people's property as well as your own.
- Seek help from counselors to solve conflicts peacefully.
Red Light (Don't)
- Bring weapons (real or toys) or dangerous objects.
- Vape, smoke, use tobacco, or carry drugs/alcohol.
- Vandalize property, write graffiti, or steal from others.
The Impact & Accountability
Breaking these codes of conduct is subject to disciplinary actions up to and including suspension. In addition, the Board reserves the right to pursue full recovery of financial costs for any repair damages caused by misconduct. All rules apply in school, on school property, at bus stops, on buses, and at any school-sponsored events (both on and off campus).
