• Print copies of Shields Template for each student
• Print Reflection Sheets

Introduction & Warm-Up

• Gather students in a circle and explain that everyone has special qualities—like superpowers—that make them unique.
• Reveal the Positive Qualities Chart Poster and review examples (e.g., kindness, creativity).
• Model: “My superpower is being helpful!”

Brainstorming Strengths

• Ask students to think silently of 2–3 qualities they’re proud of.
• Pair students to share their ideas with a partner (think-pair-share).
• Invite 2–3 volunteers to share one strength with the whole group.

Create Your Super Shield

• Distribute the Shields Template and art supplies.
• Instruct students to write their name on the banner and draw 2–3 symbols or words that represent their strengths.
• Circulate and praise effort, prompting details about each chosen quality.

Reflection & Sharing

• Hand out the Reflection Sheet .
• Students draw or write one way they’ll use their superpower in class or at home.
• After 4 minutes, have students share with a partner while teacher notes identified strengths for assessment.

• Invite 1–2 volunteers to share their reflection with the group.
• Emphasize the importance of celebrating each other’s superpowers daily.
