Making a New Friend
☀️ Meeting Sam at the Playground
One sunny day, Mia went to the playground during recess. She saw a new face sitting alone on a bench. His name was Sam. Mia felt a little nervous, but she remembered what her teacher had said about being kind and friendly.
👋 Saying Hello
Mia walked up slowly to Sam and smiled. "Hello! My name is Mia," she said. Sam looked up, surprised but happy to hear a friendly voice. "Hi, Mia! I'm Sam," he replied. They both felt warm and welcomed by these kind words.
🛝 Playing Together
After saying hello, Mia asked, "Do you want to play on the swings with me?" Sam nodded. Soon they were laughing and swinging high, enjoying the playtime. They shared stories about their favorite games and toys.
✨ Using Kind Words
While playing, Mia remembered to say "please" and "thank you." When Sam asked for a turn on the swing, Mia kindly said, "Please wait your turn, Sam," and when it was Sam's turn, she smiled and said, "Thank you for waiting, now it's your turn!"
❤️ A New Friendship
By the end of recess, Mia and Sam became great friends. They learned that starting a conversation with a smile and kind words made a new friend feel welcome. Mia felt happy and proud because she had helped make the playground a friendlier place!
