Session Roadmap
Mins 1-5 Warm Up
Connection Space
Welcome the girls. Share a time when you had to wait for something to grow or be ready. Ask them to share how they feel today using a garden metaphor (e.g., sprout, leaf, bud, blooming flower).
Mins 5-15 Read-Aloud
The Secret of Whisper Meadow
Hand out the Wildflower Tales Story Sheet . Read aloud as a group, assigning the roles (Talia, Daisy, Fern, Wise Oak) or reading it yourself to set the scene. Pause to discuss key moments.
Mins 15-25 Activity
Strength Bloom Game (10-15 Mins)
Scatter the Strength Bloom Game Cards on the table. Guide the girls to match the Weed Words (negative talk) with the Sunlight Sayings (positive self-talk) and discover their own Strength Blooms.
Mins 25-30 Debrief
Growth Pledges
Have each girl fill out her own "My Growth Pledge" on the story sheet. Finish by holding their flower characters high and saying: "We bloom together, beautifully apart!"
Facilitator Tips for the Match Game
Active Spark: Scatter the cards on the table face down or place them around the room for a mini scavenger hunt to inject active energy.
Support Talia: If she rushes to finish first, gently ask: "How does it feel to take slow, careful breaths like Daisy?" Praise her process and cooperation, not speed.
Empower Daisy: Give Daisy the first turn to match a "Sunlight Saying." Validate her voice with warm eye contact and a gentle nod.
Ground Fern: Guide Fern to choose a "Strength Bloom" card that is uniquely hers, rather than letting her wait to see what others pick.

The Secret of Whisper Meadow
A story about three unique friends finding their own way to bloom.
Deep in Whisper Meadow, three young plants lived side by side. Talia the Tulip was already tall and bright pink. She wanted to bloom right now . Every morning she stretched so hard her stem ached. "Why is it taking so long?" she sighed. "If I don't open my petals perfectly tomorrow, I'll be a failure!"
At her feet sat Daisy the Seedling , tucked beneath a giant clover leaf. Daisy was small and quiet. She rarely peeked out. "Talia is so bright and tall," Daisy whispered to herself. "I'm just a tiny green speck. I don't think I belong in this meadow at all. I will never have anything beautiful to offer."
Next to them was Fern the Frond . Fern grew in curvy, beautiful spirals, but she was worried about being different. Whenever the forest wind blew, she bent herself to look exactly like Talia's straight stem. "Maybe if I look like Talia, everyone will like me," Fern whispered, hiding her own wonderful curves.
The Wise Oak's Message
The grand Oak tree rustled its leaves gently. "My dear wildflowers," the Oak whispered. "A garden is beautiful because it is a collection of secrets. Talia, deep roots take patience; rushing your bloom will only make you tired. Daisy, you do not need to look like Talia to be beautiful; your slow-growing roots are strong and steady. And Fern, the wind loves you for your unique curves, not for trying to stand straight like a tulip."
Talia's Reminder Patience is progress.
Daisy's Reminder My roots matter.
Fern's Reminder I am uniquely me.
My Growth Pledge
Think about the three plants in the meadow. Which one do you feel like today? Write down one gentle word or promise you can say to yourself this week to help you grow.
