Objective

This lesson helps students develop essential life skills in self-reflection and strategic planning. It fosters a sense of purpose and empowers them to take proactive steps towards their aspirations.

Envelopes (for sealing letters)
Teacher Prep (15 min):
Arrange classroom for small groups (circles or clusters). Review the discussion guide prompts and test the slide deck visibility.
Instructional Sequence

Introduction: Envisioning the Future
10 MIN
Welcome students and introduce the concept of being an "Architect of Tomorrow."
Visualization: Lead a brief guided exercise. Ask students to imagine themselves in 5-10 years. What are they doing? How do they feel? (Slide 3)
Quick Share: Open a brief discussion for students to share one word that describes their vision.

Activity: Dream Weavers Circle
20 MIN
Divide students into groups of 3-4 and distribute the Discussion Guide .
Students discuss visions, values, and actionable steps. (Slides 4-5)
Circulate to support groups and prompt deeper reflection on how values align with their goals.

Reflection: Letters to My Future Self
10 MIN
Introduce the Journal Prompt activity. (Slide 6)
Students write privately to their future selves about current goals, hopes, and potential hurdles.
Encourage honesty and specificity. Explain that letters will be sealed and returned later.

Conclude by inviting volunteers to share one key takeaway about the *process* of goal-setting (rather than personal secrets).
