Coaching Prompts During Board Creation
When a student's board is purely material:
"I see the car/mansion you placed here. What kind of daily skills and discipline would a person need to earn that? Let's add a symbol of that daily work right next to it."
When a student feels stuck or overwhelmed:
"Ignore the whole year for a second. What is one feeling you want more of this week: peace, energy, or curiosity? What simple symbol represents that feeling to you?"
Common Traps & Solutions
The Fantasy Trap: Students fill the board with trophies and luxury vacations without any process cues. Enforce the "1-to-3 Rule": For every end goal, include at least one visual reminder of the daily rep or study table.
The Drawer Trap: The board gets folded up and tucked away inside a backpack, never seen again. Require students to fill out the "Placement & Activation Commitment" at the bottom of Page 2 before leaving class.
Differentiation & Adaptations
English Learners: Provide visual vocabulary word banks with icon pairings for emotional and character attributes.
Tactile / Kinesthetic: Encourage textured materials (fabric swatches, yarn, pressed leaves) or physical index cards.
Digital Alternative: Students can populate the Blueprint layout using Canva, Google Slides, or curated digital imagery.
