My Bendy Brain! 🌿✨
What to do when my friends and I have different ideas
P. 1
🎨
We Love Learning and Playing!
In our kindergarten classroom, we build tall block towers, share crayons, read books, and play games together. Playing with friends is super fun!
⚡
Sometimes We Have Different Ideas
Maybe I want to paint the dinosaur blue, but my friend wants it green. Maybe we both want the same puzzle piece. When this happens, my tummy might feel tight and hot!
🪨
Rock Brain
Stuck & Rigid
"Only MY way is right! I won't stop until I win!"
- Argues and shouts back
- Refuses to let the little bump go
- The game stops and friends feel sad
Rocks stay stuck!
🌿
Bendy Brain
Stretchy & Calm
"I can listen to your idea! We can find a way!"
- Takes a slow, deep breath
- Listens and tries another idea
- Lets it roll away so fun continues!
Bendy brains grow!
💡
Remember
When I feel stuck, I don't have to stay like a rock. I can choose my Bendy Brain!
My Action Steps

My 3-Step Bendy Routine
When my friend and I disagree, I follow these 3 simple steps:
Step 1
🛑 Pause & Take a Star Breath
Stop & Calm
I stop my talking and put my hands gently on my belly. I breathe in through my nose like smelling a flower, then slowly blow out like cooling warm soup. My body relaxes.
Step 2
👂 Open My Ears & Look
Hear Their Idea
I turn my body toward my friend. I keep my mouth quiet and listen to their idea. I ask myself: "Could their idea be fun too? Can we try something new?"
Step 3
🎈 Let It Roll Away & Move On
Tiny Bump!
I ask: "Is anyone hurt or in danger?" No! It's just a tiny bump. I let the disagreement roll away like a bouncy ball. I don't need to argue—we can keep playing!
Bendy Words I Can Say Out Loud:
🤝
"Let's try your idea first!"
🎨
"Can we mix both ideas?"
⏰
"We can take turns with a timer!"
😊
"No biggie! It's all good!"
🌟
My Bendy Brain Promise
