Step-by-Step Delivery
1 Warm-Up: Tick Tock Talk
Distribute Tick Tock Talk cards to small groups.
Ask: "Which 'Time Thief' do you struggle with most?" (Social media, gaming, oversleeping, etc.)
Prompt: "How does losing that time affect your mood on Monday morning?"
2 Direct Instruction: The Productivity Dashboard
Use Clockwork Slides to define Prioritization using the Urgent/Important matrix.
Explain the Stress-Time Loop: poor management leads to procrastination, which increases stress, which makes starting work harder.
3 The Time Audit
Hand out the Time Tracker Worksheet.
Instruct students to fill in yesterday's schedule hour-by-hour. Be honest!
Color-code: Red (Maintenance/Sleep), Blue (School/Requirements), Green (Free Time/Fun).
Ask: "What is the biggest surprise in your green section?"
4 Activity: The Master Planner
Pairs receive the Master Planner Kit (Scenario cards).
Challenge: Re-order 10 tasks for a fictional student who has a sports game, a math test, and a family dinner tonight.
Compare strategies across groups. Why did some choose the math test first?
Differentiation Tips
Support Provide a partially filled-out Time Tracker with common activities (school hours, sleep) already blocked in.
Extension Ask students to calculate the "Efficiency Percentage" of their free time vs. total hours.

Where does your time "disappear" most?
How do you feel when you run out of time?
The Toolkit
Time Audit
The process of tracking every minute of your day to see where your time actually goes.
Procrastination
"The thief of time." Delaying tasks until the very last minute, usually causing high stress.
How to Prioritize
Quadrant 1
DO IT NOW
Urgent & Important (Test tomorrow, crisis)
Quadrant 2
SCHEDULE IT
Not Urgent but Important (Studying, health)
Quadrant 3
DELEGATE IT
Urgent but Not Important (Some emails/interruptions)
Quadrant 4
ELIMINATE IT
Not Urgent & Not Important (Infinite scroll)
Active Task: Time Audit

Tick Tock Talk Questions Warm-Up Activity
Tick Tock Talk
Discuss these "Time Thief" scenarios with your group.
The Infinite Scroll
You sit down to do 10 minutes of research for your history paper. You see a notification. Forty-five minutes later, you know everything about a celebrity's new haircut but haven't written a single word.
Talk About It:
How many times a day does this happen? What is the 'cost' of that 45 minutes?
The Snooze Loop
Your alarm goes off at 6:30 AM. You hit snooze four times. Now it’s 7:10 AM, you’ve missed breakfast, you’re rushing to find your shoes, and you’re already stressed before school starts.
Talk About It:
Does the extra 20 minutes of 'snooze sleep' actually make you feel better or worse?
"Just One More Game"
It’s 8:00 PM. You have a math packet due tomorrow. You tell yourself you’ll play one round of your favorite game to relax. Suddenly, it’s 10:30 PM and the math packet is still blank.
Talk About It:
Why is it so hard to stop when we are having fun, even when we know we have work?
The People Pleaser
You planned to finish your English essay this afternoon. A friend calls and asks you to help them level up in a game or go to the mall. You say 'yes' even though you’re behind on your work.
Talk About It:
Is saying 'no' to others a form of time management? Why or why not?
The Reality Check
If you could get back one hour every day from these "thieves," what would you do with it?
