Gratitude isn't about waiting for a perfect day; it's about noticing the small sparks that make an ordinary day special.

Resilience Skills
When Stormy Days Arrive...
We all experience "stormy days." These are moments of frustration, disappointment, or sadness—like a cancelled recess, a tough test, or a disagreement with a friend.
Discomfort is normal!
It is perfectly okay to feel disappointed or frustrated. A good detective doesn't ignore feelings—we just build armor to cope with them.
What is a Silver Lining?
A "silver lining" is the hidden positive or helpful lesson behind a dark, rainy cloud. Finding it doesn't dry the rain, but it keeps our spirits warm!
Today we discover the gold hidden in the gray.

Reframing: Flipping the Script
How do we turn a stormy day scenario into a silver lining?
Scenario 1
"It rained, so our outdoor field trip got cancelled."
Silver Lining: "We get to play board games in the classroom together!"
Scenario 2
"My soccer team lost the big championship match."
Silver Lining: "We learned what to practice to improve for next season!"
Reframing doesn't erase the bad; it reveals the good.
