The Brain Dump Rule: Your brain is an idea factory, not a storage locker. Do not filter, prioritize, or judge yet. Write every nagging obligation, floating worry, administrative errand, and creative spark into the domain boxes below.

Phase 2 • Separation Clear Mind Blueprint
Thought Sifting Matrix
Separate true action items from non-actionable anxieties, parked ideas, and reference noise.
Filter Pass
Actionable Tasks Clear physical next step that you can physically execute (e.g., "Schedule dental exam online", "Send draft PDF to client").
Mental Static & Open Worries Vague feelings, outcomes out of your direct control, or future "someday" hopes (e.g., "Will the presentation go well?").

Brain Sweep Facilitator Guide
Educator / Coach Protocol Session 1 Facilitation
Brain Sweep Facilitator Guide
Instructional roadmap for leading adult learners through low-anxiety cognitive offloading.
Duration: 45–60 min Format: Workshop / 1-on-1
Learning Objective
Participants externalize at least 15 unorganized mental obligations into four discrete life domains, and differentiate actionable tasks from emotional rumination with zero premature self-judgment.
The Cognitive Science
Working memory handles only 4–7 items simultaneously. Unfinished tasks trigger the Zeigarnik Effect, taxing executive bandwidth until written down in a trusted system.
Session Pacing & Instructional Steps
00–10 min
Somatic Grounding & Permission Slip:
Address adult shame around disorganized thoughts. Emphasize that disorganization is a bandwidth problem, not a character flaw. Have learners complete the friction gauge first.
10–25 min
Silent Domain Dump (The 15-Minute Sprint):
Set an unobtrusive timer. Play soft ambient sound. Cue learners every 3 minutes with domain prompts: "What bills or messages are lingering? What home repairs are nagging you?"
25–40 min
The Separation Pass (Page 2 Matrix):
Guide participants to label items as Actionable, Worry, or Someday Idea. Challenge nebulous items like "Deal with taxes" into concrete first verbs like "Locate W-2 folder."
40–50 min
Cognitive Reset & Debrief:
Pair-share or group reflection: "What surprised you about what was consuming your mental RAM?" Re-gauge cognitive friction score.
Verbal Facilitation Prompts
- "If you feel paralyzed, start with the smallest annoying chore (e.g., reply to Maria's text)."
- "Do not solve the problem while writing it down. Just write the container title."
- "A worry without a verb belongs in the uncontrollable bin or needs translation."
Neurodivergent Support (ADHD)
- Body Doubling: Work simultaneously alongside them or in quiet collective presence.
- Visual Triggers: Allow them to open their phone notes or sent emails solely to trigger forgotten open loops.
- Dopamine Anchor: Celebrate the sheer volume of externalized thoughts as a major win.
