A comprehensive 4-week social-emotional learning curriculum designed for grades 3-5. This sequence progresses from introducing the character trait of belonging to teaching direct inclusion skills, practicing them in team-building activities, and applying them in real-world school scenarios.

Introducing Belonging

Week 1 of the Belonging series. Students read a realistic classroom scenario about a new student and reflect on what it means to belong and welcome others.

Teaching Inclusion Skills

Week 2 of the Belonging series. Focuses on direct instruction to help grades 3-5 students define inclusion, recognize visual and verbal exclusion cues, and map actionable community actions.

Practicing Inclusion Skills

Week 3 of the Belonging series. Features cooperative group challenges and team-building games that require active inclusion and communication to succeed.

Applying Inclusion Skills

Week 4 of the Belonging series. Students apply inclusion and active welcoming strategies to real-world school scenarios using role-play and creative problem-solving.
