Doc: SOP-RTL-401
TO: All Frontline Associates & Customer Support Staff
DATE: November 2, 2026
FROM: Store Operations & Human Resources
SUBJECT: Frontline Protocols: Schedules, Inquiries, & Safety
1.0 Attendance, Shift Coverage & Clock-In Policy
Weekly work rosters are published on the digital portal every Thursday at 3:00 PM for the subsequent calendar week. Employees needing a shift trade must submit a dual-signed Shift Exchange Slip at least 24 hours prior to the shift start. In case of sudden illness or transit disruption, staff must notify their shift supervisor via phone hotline no later than two hours before their scheduled punch-in. A grace period of up to 5 minutes past shift start is permitted; recurring unexcused tardiness exceeding 7 minutes will trigger an attendance review.
2.0 Everyday Customer Inquiries & Asking for Assistance
When a patron asks for an out-of-stock item or requests a price verification, follow the L.E.A.D. Protocol: Listen attentively, Explain current inventory status politely, Assist by checking the inventory scanner or locating an alternative product in Isle 4, and Direct questions regarding disputed price differences exceeding $10 to the floor manager on duty. Associates are empowered to match advertised printed circular prices up to $5 without managerial sign-off.
3.0 Safety Protocols & Incident Documentation
Safety is everyone's responsibility. If any liquid spill or merchandise obstruction occurs in customer walkways, immediate perimeter marking with a yellow caution cone is required before fetching sanitation supplies. Associates should never leave an unmarked hazard unattended. Minor physical injuries or property damages must be recorded in the Incident Log Binder located at the service desk prior to the end of the shift.
