Chapter 1: A Special Place to Learn
Every morning, our classroom is filled with friendly smiles and busy sounds. We sit beside each other at lunch, build towers with colorful blocks, and share laughs on the playground. Having good classmates makes school an exciting place to be.

Chapter 2: The Empty Desk
Today, my classmate's desk was clean and empty. My teacher gently told us that their family moved to a new home far away. Moving is a family decision that grown-ups make. It did not happen because of anything I said or did. My friend is safe in their new school.

Chapter 3: Big Feelings in My Heart
When we lined up for lunch, I paused and missed seeing my friend in line. My stomach felt a little fluttery, and my heart felt heavy. My teacher smiled gently and said: "It is okay to feel sad or quiet today. Missing someone proves that your friendship was special."

Chapter 4: The Heart Pocket Tool
My teacher taught me a special trick: the Heart Pocket! I gently rested my hand on my chest and remembered our favorite game of tag. The happy times we shared still belong to me. Whenever I miss them, I take three deep star breaths and remember that good memories never move away.

Chapter 5: Making Room for New Friends
At recess the next day, I looked around the blacktop. I saw a classmate sitting near the swings. I took a deep breath, walked over with a smile, and asked: "Would you like to swing together?" They smiled and said yes! My heart was big enough to hold onto my moved friend and welcome a new friend too.
