My Superpowers
Receiving feedback can be tough because you care deeply about doing well! Circle 2 of your biggest strengths:
Highly motivated to succeed
Deep passion for my work
Creative problem solver
Always try my absolute best
Another superpower I have:
Weather Alert
When we hear something unexpected, our "alarm brain" can trigger a storm of big emotions (anger, frustration, or wanting to escape).
š” Note: Feeling this way is natural! Your superpower is steering through the storm.
My Navigator Toolkit
What actually helps you cool down or stay steady when processing feedback? Draw a check ā next to what works, and a cross ā next to what doesn't.
Taking 3 deep, slow breaths
2 minutes of quiet reflection time
Hearing feedback written down first
Reviewing positive parts first
Squeezing a fidget tool/stress ball
Asking to try again right away
One more thing that helps me:
Something that doesn't help:
My Game Plan for the Next Unexpected Storm
1. When I hear feedback I don't want to hear, I will:
2. My helpful reminder card to myself in that moment:
Inner Anchor Phrase "Feedback is just feedback. It makes my work stronger."
I am in control of how I react, and I am learning every single day.

Level 2 Navigator
š Let's put your navigator toolkit to the test! Read each school situation below. Draw a line or outline the path that helps you steer toward a safe and successful destination.
Scenario A
The Red Pencil Mistake
Writing Class
You spent 30 minutes writing an awesome creative story. The teacher hands it back and says: "This is really exciting! But we need to fix 4 spelling mistakes before we print it."
Alarm Brain Route
Thinking "My story is ruined!" crumbling up the paper, and refusing to write.
Navigator Route
Take a deep breath. Know that spelling is just a mechanic, and your story is still incredible!
Scenario B
The Out-of-Bounds Call
Recess Game
You take a shot on the basketball court and you are sure it went in clean. Your friend says: "No way, your foot was clearly out of bounds! Turn over."
Alarm Brain Route
Yelling that they are cheating, grabbing the basketball, and leaving the court angry.
Navigator Route
Use an Anchor Phrase: "It's just a game." Ask to shoot for it or agree to a quick do-over.
My Blueprint for Safe Communication
When I feel escalated, what is a safe way to ask for a break?
e.g., "I need 2 minutes of water time to think."
Who is a safe pilot (teacher or peer) I can talk to?
