As members of this advisory, we commit to creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where every voice is heard and valued.

All members of this advisory group actively uphold these eight core agreements during every meeting:
Norm 1
Be Kind
Treat every group member with warmth, empathy, and care. Offer genuine encouragement and uplift peers through both words and everyday actions.
Norm 2
Do Not Interrupt Speakers
Practice attentive, active listening. Allow each person to complete their full thought without cutting in, talking over them, or rushing them.
Norm 3
Speak with a Relaxed Tone
Communicate with a calm, patient, and approachable voice. Keep the conversational energy grounded, thoughtful, and unhurried.
Norm 4
Respect Each Other's Ideas
Value diverse perspectives and unique viewpoints. When disagreements arise, challenge ideas respectfully and constructively, never the individual.
Norm 5
Respect Each Other's Property
Always ask permission before touching or borrowing belongings. Treat peers' materials with care and return everything promptly in good condition.
Norm 6
Respect Our Meeting Space
Take shared ownership of our room. Keep furniture neat, handle classroom resources responsibly, discard trash, and leave our space clean and ready.
Norm 7
Respect Personal Space
Honor everyone's physical boundaries and personal comfort zones. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself, and ask before entering another's space.
Norm 8
Help Everyone Feel Accepted
Work actively so every member feels comfortable, included, and secure. Celebrate differences, reach out to newcomers, and ensure no one sits alone.
