Explain that some puzzles are designed to feel "impossible" at first—frustration is part of the process.

Phase II: The Puzzle Gauntlet

Distribute the Puzzles Worksheet . Students may work solo or in dynamic duos.
Teacher Note: Set the timer prominently. Play low-fi "thinking music" or detective-themed ambient sound if possible.
While students work:
The Hint Economy: Offer subtle hints but never the answer. Ask: "What have you tried so far?" or "What happens if you look at it upside down?"Collaboration Check: Encourage students to "consult" other groups if they are both stuck on the same puzzle.
