"Imagine a billionaire comes to you and says, 'I will fully fund any business you want to start, but there is one rule: it must be based directly on something you already do for fun in your free time.' What is your hobby, and how do we turn that passion into a paying career?"
Discussion Prompt: Call on 2–3 students. If a student says "gaming," prompt them: *Are you the game designer, the marketer, the competitive athlete, or the event coordinator?* Push them to see that every hobby has an entire system of career roles orbiting around it.

Key Concept 2: Demystifying Career Clusters. Use **Slides 4-6** to introduce how the U.S. labor market is divided into **16 National Career Clusters**. Highlight 3 contrasting examples to build context:
STEM: For analytical systems-thinkers (data, mechanics, research).Arts, A/V & Communications: For creators, writers, and performers.Business Management & Administration: For directors, planners, and leaders.
3 Phase 3: Active Blueprinting Activity

4 Phase 4: The Peer Pitch & Closing

Student Interaction: Put students in pairs. Give them exactly 3 minutes (90 seconds each) to pitch their partner their customized "Day-in-the-Life" profile.
Peer Pitch Protocol:
Partner A pitches their career cluster, role, and typical daily routine.
Partner B must ask: "What is one actual skill you have that will make you successful in that role?"
Switch roles on the teacher's timer signal.
Exit Ticket Instruction: Direct students to fill out the exit ticket prompt at the bottom of their worksheet before they leave. Collect these as formative assessment data to gauge how well they connected their interests to industry classification.
Differentiation & Extension Framework
For Struggling Students
Provide a **Pre-Populated Career Matrix Cheat Sheet** that lists 10 popular hobbies side-by-side with recommended clusters. Offer simplified "Day-in-the-Life" fill-in-the-blank starter templates.
