Introduction
"Hi [Student's Name]! It was great to hear how you're feeling today. You know, everyone has feelings, and sometimes those feelings can feel really big! Have you ever felt a feeling that felt so big it was hard to think about anything else?"
Pause for student response. Acknowledge and validate their experience.
"That's totally normal! Our feelings are like special messages our bodies send us. They tell us important things. When you're happy, it might tell you that something good is happening. When you're sad, it might tell you that you need a hug or some quiet time."
"Today, we're going to talk about something really cool: your feelings superpowers! Just like superheroes, you have amazing powers inside you to understand and manage your feelings. You can be the boss of your feelings!"
2
Exploring Different Feelings
"There are so many different feelings! We already talked about happy, sad, angry, and worried. Can you think of any other feelings that people have?"
Allow student to share. Offer suggestions if they struggle: excited, frustrated, calm, confused, proud.
"Fantastic! It's important to know that all feelings are okay to have. Happy, sad, even angry. It's what we do with those feelings that matters. We want to use our feelings superpowers to choose helpful actions."

Practicing Superpowers
Transition to the Feelings Chart Activity during this section.
"When a feeling feels really big and uncomfortable, that's when we can use our superpowers! What do you think a superpower for a big, uncomfortable feeling might look like?"
"Let's try one together. When you feel a bit worried, let's try taking three slow, deep breaths. Put your hand on your tummy. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feel your tummy get big, and then slowly let it out through your mouth."
Model and practice with the student. Ask: "How did that feel?"
