Video Reflection
Facilitate after watching "A Little Respectful Spot".
1. What did you notice about how the characters listened to each other in the video?
Facilitation Tip:
Encourage the student to think about specific physical actions. Did they make eye contact? Were their hands still? Did they wait for the other person to finish? Use these examples to define "Whole Body Listening."
2. How do you think listening with attention can help you in school?
Facilitation Tip:
Guide the student to consider both academic and social benefits. Academic: "I won't miss instructions for the project." Social: "My friends will feel like I care about what they say."
