Lesson Flow
1
Introduction (10 Mins)
Discuss the origins of "flags." In sports, flags signal a stop or a penalty. In relationships and life, we use these metaphors to spot safety vs. danger.
"What is a red flag you've heard people talk about online lately?"
2
Visual Voting: The Scenario Gauntlet (30 Mins)
Use the Slide Deck. For each scenario, students hold up their Red or Green cards simultaneously. Follow each vote with a "Why?" discussion.
Discussion Tips
Ask for "Beige Flags" (neutral/quirky but not harmful).
Focus on the *impact* of the behavior, not the intent.
Context Shifts
Highlight how a green flag in friendship (joking around) might be a red flag in the workplace.
3
Reflect & Signal (20 Mins)
Students complete the reflection worksheet. They will identify one "personal green flag" they want to model and one "red flag" they will no longer ignore.
Note: If sensitive topics arise (abuse, harassment), follow your school's reporting protocols immediately.
