Lesson Flow
1
Introduction
3 MINS
Begin by asking students how they feel today. Encourage words like happy, sad, excited, or tired. Explain that today we are feeling explorers!
2
The Feelings Song
5 MINS
Show the video "The Feelings Song". Encourage students to sing along and mimic the facial expressions they see on screen.
3
Discussion & Game
7 MINS
Discuss the feelings from the video. Use Emotion Cards for a game: one student picks a card and acts it out while the class guesses the feeling.
4
Feelings Worksheet
7 MINS
Hand out the worksheet. Students draw a face showing how they feel right now. Color it in and share with a partner.
5
Closure
3 MINS
Gather in a circle. Share one new feeling word learned. Remind students that all feelings are okay and talking about them helps us feel better!
Teacher Tip
If students are struggling to act out emotions, give them a scenario (e.g., "Act like you just found out you're going to get a puppy!") to help spark the feeling.
