Lesson Objective
Engage a 1st grader in LEGO-based tasks to build sustained attention, practice impulse control, and recognize personal boundaries through guided building challenges and reflective discussions.

Introduction & Goal Setting
- Welcome the student and introduce today’s LEGO adventure.
- Show the Sticker Behavior Chart and explain earning stickers for focus and boundary respect.
- Place the Visual Boundary Mat and define personal space rules.
- Set a clear goal: complete building tasks with minimal redirections.

Challenge 1: Focused Tower
- Task: Build a tower of 10 bricks within 7 minutes.
- Start the Timer and encourage quiet, sustained focus.
- Offer gentle prompts if attention drifts (e.g., "Back to the bricks").
- Award a sticker/token for each uninterrupted minute of focus.

Discussion & Boundary Practice
- Discuss what strategies helped maintain focus during the tower build.
- Role-play: Teacher steps toward the mat and student says, “That’s my space” politely.
- Praise appropriate boundary language and self-control.
Step 4
7 Min
Game Challenge: Color Race
- Task: Place five red bricks onto the mat as quickly as possible.
- Crucial Rule: Before each grab, child must wait for the teacher’s “Go!” signal.
- Use the Timer for a 3-minute sprint, then discuss impulse pauses.
- Award tokens for each successful wait and accurate placement.

- Review stickers/tokens earned and update the Sticker Behavior Chart.
- Ask the student to share what helped with focus and boundary respect.
- Provide specific praise and set a simple focus goal for the next session.
