[ INTERVENTION STRATEGY ] SCREEN ARMOR
How to Build Your Screen Armor
Device Curfew
Choose a specific shut-off time (e.g., 9:00 PM) to allow your nervous system to cool down before bedtime.
Screen-Free Zones
Keep device chargers outside of your bedroom. Do not use your device while eating meals at the dining table.
Notification Diet
Turn off all non-human alerts. Only keep messages and calls active—mute algorithmic "likes" and suggestions.
Establishing solid boundaries keeps you in charge of your attention.

Card 06 • Digital Footprint
The Roast Room
A peer starts roasting a classmate in your group chat. Everyone is adding laughing emojis and pushing you to chime in. You know it’s mean, but you don't want to become the next target.
The Core Tension: Remaining silent/complicit vs. risking social exclusion by speaking up for a classmate.
Architect Task: Formulate a constructive strategy to redirect the chat or leave without joining the hate.
Card 07 • Attention Span
The Homework Split
You are trying to write an essay, but keep your phone right next to your keyboard. Every time you write a single sentence, your phone screen lights up with a message or feed update.
The Core Tension: The brain cost of "task-switching" making homework take three times longer.
Architect Task: List 3 "out of sight, out of mind" physical steps to protect your study time.
Card 08 • Digital Detox
The App Upgrade
You realize you've been spending 4 hours a day on an app that makes you feel bad about your body or life. However, all your peers use it, and you're worried about becoming an "outsider" if you delete it.
The Core Tension: Protecting your mental health vs. your fear of digital disconnection.
Architect Task: Design a compromise: how can you limit this app's power without losing your connections?
