12-Week Session Roadmap
Week 1: What's the Big Deal? (Size of the Problem)
Goal: Understand that problems come in different sizes.
Intro (5m): Introduce problem sizes (tiny to big).
Activity (10m): Sort scenarios using the Problem Size Chart . Discuss appropriate reactions.
Week 2: My Body, My Choices (Impulse Control)
Goal: Practice Stop, Think, Do.
Intro (5m): Review problem sizes; introduce impulse control concept.
Activity (10m): Use Impulse Control Cards to role-play waiting and asking.
Week 3: My Bubble, Your Bubble (Personal Space)
Goal: Respect personal boundaries.
Intro (5m): Introduce the "Invisible Bubble" concept.
Activity (10m): Practice Bubble Boundaries activity; demonstrate space needs.
Week 4: Listening Ears, Following Feet (Teacher Directions)
Goal: Stay safe by following directions.
Intro (5m): Importance of listening for safety and learning.
Activity (10m): Play Simon Says with classroom behavior directions.
Week 5: My Feelings, My Self (Self-Awareness)
Goal: Identify basic emotions.
Activity (10m): Use Feeling Faces Flashcards . Match faces to personal experiences.
Week 6: What My Body Tells Me (Body Cues)
Goal: Recognize physical signs of feelings.
Activity (10m): Body Detective : Describe physical reactions (stomping, smiling, slouching).
Week 7: Sharing is Caring (Social Awareness)
Goal: Understand how others feel.
Activity (10m): Social Scenario Cards . Practice empathy by guessing friend feelings.
Week 8: Taking Turns and Playing Fair (Social Cues)
Goal: Read social cues during play.
Activity (10m): Role-play playtime situations (sharing swings, joining a game).

Sometimes problems feel really, really big! But guess what? Problems come in different sizes, just like shoes or animals! Let's figure out how big a problem is.

Personal Space Activity
Everyone has an invisible bubble around them â that's our personal space! It helps us all feel safe and comfortable. Let's practice!

Stand Up!
Find a spot in the room where you have a little space all to yourself.

Make a Bubble!
Hold your arms out to your sides, then in front, then behind. Imagine a giant, shiny bubble around you. That is your personal space!

Walk and Don't Pop!
Walk slowly around the room. Try not to let your bubble touch anyone else's bubble. If you get too close, gently step back.

The Direction Game!

"Listening to our teachers and following directions helps us stay safe, learn new things, and have lots of fun!"
Game 1: Simon Says (with a Twist!)
How to Play:
One person (the teacher) is "Simon."
Simon gives directions starting with "Simon says..." (e.g., "Simon says touch your nose").
If Simon doesn't say "Simon says," the girls should keep their bodies still!
Social Superstar Twist:
Use directions related to school social skills!
"Simon says make a quiet body."
"Simon says look at the person talking."
"Simon says use walking feet."
"Simon says raise your hand."
Game 2: The Direction Detective
Challenge the girls to follow two-step or three-step directions to show they are "Social Superstar Listeners."
Level 1 (2 Steps):
"Stand up and touch your toes."
Level 2 (3 Steps):
"Clap twice, sit down, and show me quiet hands."
Reflect and Talk:
