Warm-Up: Connection Bingo
Start by having students walk around the group and find people who match their Bingo squares. Use this as a high-energy transition from arrival to active learning.
Phase 1: Challenges
Use Slides 4, 5, and 6 to lead group discussions. For each challenge, reward the fastest or most thoughtful team with points on the scoreboard.
"Networking is a skill you practice, not a talent you are born with."
Mixer Prep: Your Intro
Give students 5 minutes to write down their "Mission Plan" in their Quest Log. They should choose one professional goal (e.g., "Find an apprenticeship") and one question they will ask an employer.
Final: The Networking Mixer
The Main Event.
Students move through the room to complete the missions in their Quest Log. They must meet at least 3 new people and record one professional takeaway from each conversation.
Facilitator Role:
Walk around and 'Verify' missions. If a student shows you a completed mission, check their box in the Quest Log. Keep the energy high with background music!
Final Score & Debrief
Calculate final team scores based on Quest Log completion. Review the Exit Ticket questions on Slide 11.
Facilitator Master Notes
Misconception Alert:
Students often think networking is "bothering" people. Remind them that experts love sharing their journey with eager learners.
Engagement Tip:
If the room goes quiet, introduce a "Speed Connect" round—every 60 seconds, everyone must find a new partner.
