The "Why"
By exploring Tune In, Hope, Reflect, Integrate, Visualize, and Execute in small-group activities and journaling, students will develop practical coping skills, foster peer support, and enhance daily mental wellness.
Core Objective
Equip students with a hands-on understanding of the THRIVE six-step framework through interactive stations and reflection, enabling them to manage stress, build resilience, and plan actionable mental wellness strategies.
Teacher Preparation
• Review the Facilitation Guide to familiarize yourself with scripts and prompts.
• Load or print the THRIVE Steps Slides for projection.
• Set up three stations (A, B, C) with corresponding materials.
• Prepare one Step Reflection Page per student.
• Arrange seating for smooth group rotations.

• Briefly define each step using the Facilitation Guide notes.
• Explain the station rotation process and expected group behavior.

• Divide students into 3 groups: Station A (Tune In/Hope), B (Reflect/Integrate), C (Visualize/Execute).
• Spend 10 minutes at each station completing activity prompts.
• Circulate to guide discussions and keep time; signal clearly when it's time to rotate.

• Reconvene the whole class in a circle.

1. Welcome & Framework Overview
“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to learn a six‐step process called the THRIVE Toolkit. These steps—Tune In, Hope, Reflect, Integrate, Visualize, and Execute—are designed to help you notice what’s going on inside you, turn challenges into goals, and practice strategies to boost your mental wellness daily. By the end of this session, you’ll have hands‐on experience with each step and a plan you can use starting tomorrow.”
