Present the big idea: Mistakes are chances to learn!

Story Time: The Wobbly Tower
Materials: Slides 3-4
Tell a short, engaging story about a character building a block tower that keeps falling.
Emphasize that they learned to make it stronger each time through trial and error.
Discussion: What did the character learn? How did they feel when they finally succeeded?
15 MIN Activity
Activity: Mistake Makeover
Materials: Slide 5, Activity Guide, Construction Paper
Explain the "Oopsie vs. Makeover" drawing task.
Students draw an "oopsie" they once made on one side.
On the other side, they draw how they learned from it or what they would do differently.
Circulate to provide encouragement and help students identify the "lesson" in their mistake.
