Interaction Tips
Authenticity Over Script
Secondary students have a high "BS meter." If you're not genuinely interested, they'll know. Find common ground early.
Strategic Timing
Catch them as they enter, during independent work, or while packing up. Avoid pulling them out of peer groups.
Consistency Wins
The "10 days" part is critical. It demonstrates to students who expect to be given up on that you are reliable.
