Inclusive Accommodations & Sensory Support
Neurodiversity / Eye Contact
Direct eye contact can feel overwhelming. Encourage looking at the teacher's forehead, the book illustration, or pointing body towards the speaker.
High Energy / Movement
Allow wiggle cushions, boundary carpet tape, or a designated "Spider-Lair" spot at the edge of the circle where standing is permitted while staying engaged.
Non-Verbal / ELL Support
Emphasize non-verbal response options: nodding, hero thumbs-up, smiling, or pointing to communication visual cards.
