Icebreaker: Ask a volunteer to share one positive memory from middle school. Review the agenda: Chart activity, discussion, game, and planning. 2 Transition Differences Chart 10 Minutes Distribute charts to student pairs. Pairs compare class structure, teacher relationships, extracurriculars, etc. Students identify anticipated challenges for each category. **Teacher Tip:** Circulate and ask, "How might your study habits need to change for this?" 3 Guided Discussion 10 Minutes Gather students in a circle or large group. Distribute one **Discussion Prompt Card** per student. Invite volunteers to read their prompt and share thoughts. Encourage "Building Responses": Ask peers to add on or ask follow-up questions. 4 Transition Bingo Game 10 Minutes Hand out unique bingo cards. Students mingle to find classmates who fit the squares. First to get a line calls "Bingo!" and shares 3 facts learned. Briefly debrief: "What surprised you about your classmates' expectations?" 5 Personal Success Plan Wrap-Up 5 Minutes Students set one academic and one social goal for high school. Ask them to write one concrete action step for each. Closing: Positive affirmations regarding their readiness and growth.
