How to Facilitate
1
Gather: Invite students to sit in a circle on the carpet. Explain that this is a safe circle where everyone's feelings are welcome.
2
Share: Invite each student to share how they feel. They can use words, make a face, or use a hand signal (e.g., thumbs up, thumbs down, or a flat hand for calm).
3
Validate: Repeat back what you hear: "It sounds like you're feeling happy today!" or "It's okay to feel a little bit sleepy this morning."
Important Reminders
All feelings are okay to have.
Feelings can change throughout the day.
Students have the "right to pass" if they don't want to share.
