The "Why"
Storytelling makes abstract feelings tangible. By narrative mapping, young learners develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence, which are essential building blocks for healthy social development and self-regulation.
Preparation

Review the Emotion Story Slides and student worksheets (Heart Tales and Calm Cloud ).

Gather story props or visual aids (emojis, feeling cards) that represent varied emotions.

Prepare open-ended guiding questions to help the student find the right "feeling words."
