What is a "Trigger"?
Slide 3 of 10
💥 The Trigger Spark
A trigger is something that happens that suddenly makes our body feel a big, bumpy emotion (like mad or frustrated).
🛶 Like a Sudden Wave!
Just like a sudden wind can tilt our sailboat, a trigger pushes our emotional ship from the Green Zone into the Yellow or Red Zone!
💥 ➡️ ⛵ 🌊
Triggers Start the Big Waves!
Triggers are NOT bad. They just happen! Knowing our triggers helps us prepare our sailboat.
💡 "If we know a wave is coming, we can hold onto our sails!"

Let's talk through these together:
How does your body feel right before you go into the Red Zone? (Heavy shoulders, hot face, fast breathing?)
What is one trigger we can write down today so we can remember to use our calm tools next time?
Who is a safe grown-up at school that you can tell when you are feeling in the Yellow or Red Zone?
