Friendship Quest Story DocumentThe Friendship Forest A Social Skills Adventure Name: ___________________________ Date: ___________________________ In the heart of the Mossy Woods lived a squirrel named Sam. Sam loved to climb and jump, but sometimes, Sam felt a little bit lonely. Sam wanted to make a new friend but wasn't quite sure how to start. 1 The Brave Hello One morning, Sam saw Pip the Rabbit sitting by the Great Oak. Sam's heart went "thump-thump." Sam took a deep breath, walked over, and said, "Hi! I'm Sam. Can I sit here?" Pip smiled and said yes! 2 The Magic Question Sam noticed Pip was holding a shiny blue stone. Instead of grabbing it, Sam asked, "That stone is cool! Where did you find it?" Pip's eyes lit up. Friends love it when we ask about things they like! 3 The Helping Hand Later, Pip's snack rolled under a prickly bush. Sam didn't wait to be asked. Sam reached under the bush and handed the snack back. "Here you go, Pip!" Being a friend means helping out. Your Friendship Journey What is one "Brave Hello" you can say to someone tomorrow? Other times, a big wave comes out of nowhere and makes us feel overwhelmed. It is okay for the waves to be big. It is okay for the waves to be small. They will always eventually wash back out to sea. Draw how your waves feel today Note for Facilitators: These activities are designed to provide a safe outlet for expression. Always monitor students for signs of severe distress and follow school protocols for crisis intervention. Encourage students that there is no "right way" to feel or draw in their garden.
