⭐ The Power of YET
🏋️♂️
Your Brain is Like a Muscle!
Secret #1
💪
Your Arm Muscle
When you pick up heavy blocks or climb on the playground, your arm muscles work hard and grow stronger!
Lifting = Stronger Body
🧠
Your Amazing Brain
When you try something tricky—like reading a big word or tying a shoe—your brain builds brand-new super paths!
Trying Hard = Stronger Brain
🗣️
Talk with a partner: What is one hard thing your brain learned this year?
🎯
Fantastic Mistakes!
Secret #2
Mistakes are NOT bad! They are clues that tell your brain how to grow!
🔍
Mistakes Give Clues
They show us what did not work so we can test a fresh idea.
🌱
Brain Food
Every time you fix a mistake, your brain sprouts a brand-new connection!
🚀
Practice Makes Progress

1 Phase 1: The Kinesthetic Hook — "The Muscle Stretch" (7 Min) Whole Group / Rug
Distribute a walnut-sized ball of Play-Doh to each child (or have them flex their biceps). Prompt them to gently squish it into a pancake, then roll it into a snake.
Teacher Script: "Feel how your hands work harder when the clay is stiff? Your brain is just like that! When things are easy-peasy, your brain rests. But when something feels tricky or you make a mistake, your brain is doing heavy lifting and growing stronger!"
2 Phase 2: Visual Concept Discovery (Slides 1–3) (10 Min) Interactive Whole Class
- • Slide 2 (The Brain is a Muscle): Ask children to tap their heads. "What makes a muscle strong? Lifting! What makes a brain strong? Trying tricky challenges!"
- • Slide 3 (Fantastic Mistakes): Reframe mistakes as "detective clues." Ask: "If a toddler falls down when learning to walk, do we say they failed? No! Their brain learned balance!"
Key Discussion Question: "Raise your thumb if you ever made a mistake on your paper or when drawing. Did that mistake show your brain is ready to learn?" (Affirm every child's thumb).

She takes a breath and tries writing it again.
She crumbles her paper and says she's no good.
B. Why do we celebrate mistakes?
Because mistakes give clues that grow our brains!
Because mistakes mean you should stop trying.
