THE CONNECTION GRID
COMMUNITY BUILDER
Students collaborate in groups of 4 to establish 3 non-obvious shared traits and arrange them in their Connection Grid log. Students must practice active listening and vulnerability without rushing.
Teacher Coaching Cue: "If you all say 'we like pizza,' dig deeper! Find a movie that changed how you think, or a habit you all share."
Friction Point Support: Ensure introverted students are invited into conversations by assigning a facilitator role inside each team.

THE CALIBRATOR
SELF-REGULATION
Students identify physical signs of stress or hyper-arousal and connect them to customized regulation techniques (deep box breathing, sensory grounding, or self-advocacy scripts) utilizing their stress scales.
Teacher Coaching Cue: "Where do you feel pressure first? In your shoulders, your jaw, or a fast heartbeat? Let's calibrate your reset protocol."
Friction Point Support: Normalize stress. Explain that physical warning signs are physiological data, not personal failure.

The team maps out a joint academic or personal goal, outlining step-by-step milestones, active individual roles, and dynamic contingencies when challenges occur during execution.

Friction Point Support: Prevent a single student from taking over. Prompt teams to assign distinct roles (Scribe, Speaker, Quality Control).
