Transitioning to middle school brings new challenges; this lesson equips 6th graders with goal-setting tools, routine awareness, and confidence exercises to foster a positive, empowered start to their journey.
Teacher Prep (10 MIN)
Print copies of Student Goal-Setting Worksheet and Confidence-Building Scenarios Sheet .
Display the Middle School Routines Poster on the board or projector.
Sketch the Group Discussion Chart (T-chart for Excitement vs. Worries) on chart paper.
Review scenario role-plays to provide effective prompts during the activity.
