THE INTEREST MULTIPLIER
Passive Gold Accumulation & Simple Interest Mechanics
Stashing your cash under a mattress earns you 0% interest. But stashing it in a real-world savings locker (a bank account) triggers the Interest Multiplier. The bank pays you Simple Interest just for holding your money!
The Formula
\[I = P \cdot r \cdot t\]
I = Interest Earned (Bonus Gold!)
P = Principal (Original money you deposit)
r = Annual Interest Rate (Convert % to a decimal)
t = Time (Number of years)
Loot Locker Challenge: Calculate Your Yield
Suppose you successfully saved $300 (your Principal, P) inside a high-yield savings locker. The bank offers an annual simple interest rate of 6% (Rate, r = 0.06). You leave your cash there for exactly 2 years (Time, t).
1. Calculate Interest: I = $300 × 0.06 × 2
Interest Earned: I = $ _________
2. New Locker Balance: Total = $ _________
