01
Our Morning Entry
Entering our classroom workspace with a joyful, calm mindset:
- 1 Gentle Hello: Wave or greet your teacher with soft steps.
- 2 Unpack Happy: Hang your bag and prepare folders nicely.
- 3 Morning Starter: Jump into the day's mini-puzzle on the board.
Magic Moves! β±οΈ
02
The 60-Second Blitz
When the musical transition chime plays, we clean up fast:
- 1 Voice Level Zero: Save conversations for later.
- 2 Clear & Tuck: Slide books back and slide in your chair.
- 3 Focus Forward: Point eyes and heart toward the speaker.
π Let's try a 60-Second clean up game right now!
Pillar 2: Kind Words & Warm Actions
Slide 3 of 6
Words of Sunshine βοΈ
Our words hold cozy, warm energy! We practice speaking gently:
- Praise Others: "I really like how you did that!"
- Say Thanks: Express gratitude to class-mates often.
- Kindly Disagree: "That's a neat idea, what if we also..."
Caring Actions π±
We show respect with our physical choices every single day:
- Space & Items: Ask before borrowing; honor personal space.
- Include Friends: Invite lonely peers to sit or play.
- Classroom Care: Keep your desk and shared bins clean and safe.
π Can you name a classmate who did something kind today?
Pillar 3: Together is Better

Our Collaborative Teamwork Recipe! π₯£
1. Listening Ears
Listen to understand, not just to talk. Value your friend's ideas before speaking.
2. "Pass the Mic"
Make sure everyone gets a turn! Ask: "What do you think of this idea?"
3. Build it Up!
Combine different ideas together to make your project extra magical!
π€ "Individually we are drops, together we are an ocean!"
Pillar 4: My Peaceful Powers
Slide 5 of 6
Navigating Our Heartbeats π
All emotions are totally okay, but we decide how we handle them:
Calm Green: Happy, focused, ready to create!
Bumpy Yellow: Feeling wiggly, hyper, or slightly sad.
Upset Red: Angry or fully overwhelmed. (Time for a break)
Our Cozy 3-Step Reset π§ββοΈ
If your temperature gets a little yellow or red:
- 1 The Soft Pause: Take three giant, fluffy belly breaths.
- 2 A Calm Helper Tool: Doodle, read a cozy book, or rest your head.
- 3 Happy I-Message: Tell a teacher: "I feel ___ and need ___."
Taking a break is a superpower! π¦ΈββοΈ
π Let's take a collective deep breath together... ready? Breathe in...

Harmony Roadmap Guide
Duration
45-60 Minutes
Target: Grades 4β8
Focus: Culture & SEL
Setting: Whole Class
Lesson Intent & Objectives
To explicitly teach, model, and establish expectations across four pillars: classroom routines, peer respect, cooperative discussions, and emotional self-regulation.
- Define silent arrival rituals
- Practice 60-second transition blitz
- Demonstrate respectful active listening
- Practice box breathing & I-statements
Phase 1: The Co-Pilot Metaphor (5 Mins)
Hook Strategy: Gather students in a circle. Introduce the class as a high-performing "flight crew" on a long-distance expedition. We cannot reach our destination if any crew member is working against the flight controls.
"Welcome aboard our classroom expedition. To reach our big goals this year, we must follow a shared flight plan. We call this our Harmony Roadmap. Everyone in this room is a co-pilot with equal responsibility."
Slide-By-Slide Facilitation (Part 1)
Slide 2: Smooth Sailing (Routines & Transitions)
Objective: Master morning entry and response to transition signal.
Teacher Script: "When you cross our door, the mode changes. We transition from hallways to our launching pad. Let's model a silent walk-in right now."
Action Practice: Select 3 student volunteers to go out into the hall. Instruct them to demonstrate proper entrance: slow feet, silent voices, unpack, and sit. Reward with immediate positive reinforcement.
Slide 3: The Golden Rule (Respect & Kindness)
Objective: Concrete understanding of verbal and physical respect.
Teacher Script: "Kindness is not just being nice; it is a shield that keeps our room safe. What does active appreciation sound like?"
Coaching Tip: Have students brainstorm physical boundaries. Mark out "personal workspace bubbles" with desk layout. Discuss leaving a workstation cleaner than they found it.

Use this formula to express feelings safely:
I feel
when
because .
Phase 4: Creative Conflict Response
Scenario: You and your group mate are designing a poster. They suggest an idea that you think is incorrect. Write a respectful response to build on their idea instead of starting an argument:
