01 What is Interleaving?
Interleaving is a study strategy where you mix different topics or subjects together in a single session. Instead of studying AAAA, then BBBB, then CCCC, you study them in a mixed order like ABC-BCA-CAB.

"If you're solving the problem without having to figure out what kind of problem it is first, you aren't really learning yet."
02 Why It Works: The Discrimination Factor
Blocked Practice
Your brain enters "Autopilot Mode." Since you know what's coming next, you focus only on the procedure. You don't practice choosing the right tool from your mental toolbox.
Interleaved Practice
Your brain is in "Active Retrieval Mode." Every new problem requires you to "look up" the right strategy again. This strengthens the connection between the trigger and the action.
03 Daily Implementation Tactics
Subject Sandwiches
Study Subject A for 20m, Subject B for 20m, then back to A for 10m. This "interruption" forces your brain to recall Subject A again after a break.
Flashcard Shuffling
Never study cards in the same order. Use a "Shuffle" feature or physical deck mix-up every 5 minutes.
Cumulative Homework
When doing tonight's math homework, do 3 problems from tonight, then go back to page 50 and do 1 problem from last month. Repeat.
Mixed Practice Sets
If your textbook has a "Chapter Review" or "Mixed Practice" section, do those first, not last. They are more effective.
